Candle wax as a skin moisturizer

I bought a candle today in my hair salon. The person that normally sold the products was not there and my stylist sold me a candle thinking the warm wax was beneficial to the skin. I love the scent of the candle, but is there any benefit to putting the warm wax on my hands and arms?
